American Flamingo: Cameron Parish, LA, May 11, 2009.  This bird was seen 5.1 miles east of the Mermantau Bridge on US 82 south of the highway.  It was easily found because of explicit instructions given by other birders.  This bird is the first of its kind to be found in Louisiana.
