Couch's Kingbird  This bird was first observed by Paul Dickson in Red River Parish on January 1, 2006.  Couch's Kingbird and Tropical Kingbird are virtually alike and cannot easily be separated in the field.  However, they can be separated by call and  this bird was heard calling.    Click on the small thumbnail to enlarge it.
