Giant Swallowtail Caterpillars: Broadmoor Terrace, Shreveport, LA, September 23,  2007.  This caterpillar has just emerged from its egg.    You can see the trail leading from the egg shell.  Also, there is another caterpillar inside an egg that is about to emerge.  This caterpillar is about 1/8 inch long.
