Monarch Egg:  Broadmoor Terrace, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA, August 7, 2006.  This egg was laid by a Monarch butterfly on Bay Laurel.  She had been laying eggs on milkweed, and then flew over to the Bay Laurel and laid another egg.  This seems unusual since Bay Laurel is not a host plant for the Monarch.
