Silver-spotted Skipper Caterpillar:  Keithville, Caddo Parish, LA, September 3,  2007.  The host plants for Silver-spotted Skippers are legumes. This caterpillar had crawled off of its host plant onto a fern.  It is apparently ready to make a chrysalis.
