Silver-spotted Skipper Caterpillar:  Keithville, Caddo Parish, LA, September 3,  2007.  The host plants for Silver-spotted skippers are legumes.  This caterpillar was feeding on Caesalphinia which is a type of legume.  It rolls itself in a leaf during the day and apparently feeds at night.
