Paul Dickson banded Gloria Frantom's hummingbird on February 9, 2005.  It turned out to be an adult, female, Rufous Hummingbird. This is the first record of an adult female Rufous wintering through February in northwest Louisiana.  She was healthy and fat and had completed wing molt.  This indicates that she is ready to migrate back to her breeding range.
